South Dakota State Dominates Youngstown State
The top-ranked Long Eared Hares traveled to Youngstown State last week and defeated the top-ranked Penguins by a score of 34-0. Jimmy Rogers and his team completely dominated in Ohio. It doesn’t seem to matter who they play or where they play, as long as this veteran team plays their game, they are nearly impossible to beat.
They still have one more regular season game to play in Brookings, and they still have plenty of advantages at home throughout the playoffs. So, can this team get any better? » We’re not perfect. But we’re playing well right now, we’re playing hard, believing that we’re going to win, and our guys are going to execute orders, » said San Diego State head soccer coach Jimmy Rogers. » To say that we can’t get better, everyone on our team has things they can do better and as coaches we will try to push them to be the best they can be.
The Jackets haven’t lost a game since last year’s opener at Iowa where they beat the Hawkeyes 7-3 when the Hawkeyes had a shotgunner and two safeties. Their performance on offense and defense has been truly impressive.
